Halloween Cakes
There is no tedious task involved in these recipes, infact these Halloween cakes will be a hit. If you are unsure of any cake recipes that will win your babies heart this Halloween, then you need not fret. This is a simple and easy to decorate cake which looks stunning and ready to eat. Invite your baby’s friends over for a nice Halloween treat and watch the glow on their faces.
You can use any simple or even your favorite cake recipe or for this witch cake. You need not go out of your way to bake something exotic, a plain butter cake can also be used to give the same effect. Make individual cup cakes depending on the number of kids attending the party.
This recipe calls for 24 cupcakes. Making individual cup cakes will let each baby have their own individual witch hat Halloween cake. Your little monsters will be spellbound with their own witch hat cakes.
Witch Hat Halloween Cakes
Ingredients
- Cup cakes – 24 (any cake recipe would do)
- Orange Frosting
- Shortening – 1 tbsp
- Bugles corn snacks (or any snack that has a cone shape)
- Semisweet Chocolate chips – 1 cup
- Chocolate cookies or chocolate covered mints
Method
Use the orange frosting to generously frost all the cupcakes. Using the double boil method melt the chocolate chips and shortening (You can even melt it in the microwave). Take one Bugles at a time and dip it in the melted chocolate using tongs. Coat them evenly with chocolate. Now place a chocolate covered Bugles on top of the chocolate covered mint or cookie,
Keep the frosted cake in the refrigerator for 10 minutes. Place the cookie / chocolate covered mint and Bugles in the centre of the frosted cake.
These easy to make witch hats are now ready to be gobbled down.
