Muffins
Recipes that are homemade are whole some and nutritious unlike the ones that are commercially available. Homemade recipes like muffins retain all of its vitamins and nutrients and do not contain additives and preservatives that commercially available ones have. Chemicals present in commercial baby foods are high in nitrate levels and these are not easily digestible by a baby’s stomach.
Muffins that are baked at home are also healthier and you gain complete control over what you add to increase its flavor. You will make the best for your baby, as you already are aware of their likes and dislikes. Muffins are easy to make and you can also include a few other fresh fruits or even make them savory. This way you do not have to repeat recipes, especially if our baby has shown their love for muffins.
This is one of the tasty banana muffins recipe which is easy to prepare and healthy too. However instead of a lot of sugar we have given it a healthy outlook by adding in a whole lot of nutritious bananas. It contains all the goodness of fruit, fiber and most importantly nutrition.
Ingredients
- Muffins- Banana Bran
- Flour – 1 cup
- Baking powder – 1 tbsp
- Agave (sugar substitute) – 2 tbsp
- Egg – 1
- Oil – 3 tbsp
- Milk – 2/3 cup
- Mashed bananas- 3
- Bran flakes – 2 cups
Method
Grease muffin trays (use mini muffin trays for your baby). Sieve flour and baking powder this will air the flour and combine it. Mix all the wet ingredients in a large bowl by whisking it. Add the bran flakes into the mixture and allow it to stay for about 2 minutes so that it softens. Stir it once again so that the soften bran breaks up further. Combine the flour and the wet mixture and mix till everything is well incorporated. Spoon the mixture into the muffin cup till almost 3/4th of the cup. Bake for 18 minutes in a preheated oven at 400 degrees. Once done allow it to cool and then let your baby enjoy it.
